मुंबई : कॅफे कॉफी डे म्हणजेच सीसीडीने (#CCD) चालू आर्थिक वर्षाच्या पहिल्या तीन महिन्यात नफ्याशी संबंधित व भविष्यातील खर्चात होणारी वाढ लक्षात घेऊन जवळपास २८० आउटलेट्स बंद केली असल्याचे कंपनीने कळविले आहे. कॉफीच्या आउटलेट्स साखळीत रोजच्या सरासरी विक्री कमी झाल्याने हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे. कॉफी डे ग्लोबलकडे सीसीडीची मालकी असून हि कॉफी डे इंटरप्रजेस लिमिटेडची उपकंपनी आहे.
कंपनीच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, एप्रिल ते जून या काळात सरासरी दैनंदिन विक्री १५ हजार ४४५ होती, तर मागील वर्षात तिमाहीत १५ हजार ७३९ होती. दरम्यान या तीन महिन्यात कंपनीच्या वेन्डिंग मशीनची संख्या वाढून ५९ हजार ११५ युनिट झाली आहे. गेल्या वर्षी याच तिमाहीत ती ४९ हजार ३९७ युनिट्स होती.

CCD shuts 280 more outlets

Mumbai : Homegrown coffee chain Cafe Coffee Day (CCD)has closed down around 280 outlets in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, citing profitability issues and likely future increase in expenses, a company statement said. With these closures, the total count of its outlets stood at 1,480 as on June 30, 2020.
Cafe Coffee Day is a brand owned by Coffee Day Global, a step-down company of Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd (CDEL).
The coffee chain also reported a decline in average sales per day (ASPD) to 15,445 during the April-June quarter from 15,739 in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
However, the count of its vending machines went up to 59,115 units in Q1 FY20 from 49,397 in the same quarter a year ago.
